Nicholas Haring came over from Europe in the early 1920's. After apprenticing with a jeweler in Mansfield, he borrowed money and went to Bradley University School of Watchmaking. With his knowledge of watch repair, clock repair, and hand-engraving, Nicholas settled back in Mansfield and opened up his first store front in 1929. As time went on, Mr. Haring started filling his shelves with jewelry.

Then in 1980, yet a third generation stepped in, and Jeff, the current owner, is enjoying doing business and working hard to keep the store’s reputation as "Harings.....simply the finest."

In 1958, his son, Ken Haring, joined in the business. Ken took the store to the next level, introducing higher-end merchandise from vendors all over the world. The people of Mansfield enjoyed the choices Ken made and the business flourished.
